On 29 February 2024, Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) was announced as the new accreditation scheme operator (ASO) to administer the accreditation of installers and designers under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).
This change followed a competitive accreditation application round, a key recommendation of the Integrity Review of the Rooftop Solar PV Sector.
All small-scale installers and designers needed to transfer their accreditation to SAA by 29 May 2024 to remain eligible to claim small-scale technology certificates (STCs) or participate in some state programs.
How to get accredited
There are several accreditation types available with SAA whether you are looking to renew, upgrade or become accredited for the first time.
Further information can be found on accreditation types, fees and pathways on SAA's website.
Processing times for applications are up to 10 business days please consider this when planning your submission.
