29 February 2024
The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) has approved Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) as the new installer and designer accreditation scheme operator under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme. SAA's accreditation scheme is now in effect.
The Clean Energy Council’s (CEC) accreditation services have now ceased. The CER appreciates the CEC’s work to help grow Australia’s rooftop solar industry over the past decade and their commitment to ensuring a smooth industry transition to the new accreditation scheme operator.
Important information for accredited persons:
- Accredited persons must transfer their CEC accreditation to SAA by close of business 29 May 2024 to maintain their accreditation and small-scale technology certificate (STC) eligibility.
- Information on SAA's accreditation scheme, including a link to the online transfer form can be found on their website.
- The CER’s ASO transition webpage provides guidance on how to maintain your accreditation and STC eligibility throughout and beyond the transition.
The CER will continue to work closely with SAA and the CEC during the transfer period to support accredited persons.
