Our emissions reduction plan details the activities we’ll take to reduce our operational emissions and achieve net zero by 2030. The plan supports the Department of Finance’s Net Zero Government Operations Strategy.
We report on the progress of our actions within our annual reports. We will use this along with our yearly emissions reporting to measure our progress towards reducing our emissions.

Highlights include:
- supporting our office building’s lead tenant to install solar panels to lower our energy bills and reduce our carbon footprint
- complying with the Australian Government’s Environmentally Sustainable Procurement Policy to show climate, environmental and circularity outcomes in our procurement
- eliminating any unnecessary after-hours energy use
- establishing an environment committee focused on reducing our environmental footprint
- encouraging staff to hold online meetings rather than travelling for in-person meetings
- reviewing our recycling and waste management to ensure the correct disposal of waste.
