Highlights include:
- 20.6 million Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) issued.
- 7.7 gigawatts of new renewable energy capacity delivered:
- 4.7 gigawatts from renewable energy power stations
- 3 gigawatts from rooftop solar.
- Launch of the Nature Repair Market.
- Estimated 79.2 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent abated.
- First year of the Safeguard Mechanism reforms saw emissions from covered facilities reduce from 138.7 Mt CO2-e to 136 Mt CO2-e.
- Release of the new unit and certificate registry.
- 96.8% of participants complied with scheme reporting obligations.
