The Clean Energy Regulator is replacing the existing Australian National Registry of Emissions Units (ANREU) forms in the Client Portal with new ANREU forms in Online Services. Soon, only the new ANREU forms in Online Services will be available.
- Apply for an ANREU Account in Client Portal is now Open an ANREU Account in Online Services
- Change Authorised Representatives in Client Portal is now Update an ANREU Account in Online Services
- The Client Information Form in Client Portal is now available as two separate Register an Individual and Register an Organisation forms in Online Services
Key benefits
- New individual account holders and authorised representatives can quickly and easily verify their identity digitally on the Register an Individual form if they are Australian citizens or residents.
- There is now an option to provide an existing National Police Check from the last 12 months. This means you don’t have to wait for us to apply on your behalf, which can take longer.
- The list of people who can certify documents is greatly expanded, as it now aligns to the Statutory Declarations Act 1959.
Existing ANREU users
For the next few weeks, existing ANREU participants may continue to use the old forms in Client Portal, until they are turned off.
Existing individual account holders and/or authorised representatives, may need to re-verify their identity when prompted. This can be done by completing the new Register an Individual form in Online Services, which contains the digital identity verification service.
New ANREU users
Start your ANREU journey using the new ANREU forms in Online Services. To try the new forms, use the Show me filter in Online Services and select ‘Australian National Registry of Emissions Units’.
Existing agents registering new ANREU account holders or authorised representatives are encouraged to use the new ANREU forms in Online Services for these participants.
