Applications for 2021 exemption certificates now open

Applications for 2021 exemption certificates are now open through the Client Portal.

Companies who conduct eligible emissions-intensive trade-exposed (EITE) activities under the Renewable Energy Target can apply for exemption certificates, which can be traded with their liable entity to obtain a benefit.

If you apply before 1 December 2020 and your application is successful, you and your electricity retailer will have assurance of your estimated certifiable amount for the 2021 application year based on the use amount formula.

Applications close on 30 March 2021.
