Emissions in the electricity generation sector have decreased over the last 4 years. There were notable reductions of 7.5 million tonnes of CO2-e (4.6%) in 2019–20 and 6.7 million tonnes of CO2-e (4.3%) in 2020-21 on the previous reporting year.
