The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is undertaking a public consultation on proposed updates to the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme. The consultation period is now open and will close Friday 8 May.
The amendments are proposed to start on 1 July 2026 and would apply to future NGER reports, starting with those submitted by 31 October 2027 for the 2026–27 NGER reporting year.
