The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) has been moving services from Client Portal to Online Services. On 15 October, the Notify the Regulator form was moved.

The Notify the Regulator form allows stakeholders to notify the CER about a range of issues or changes.

ACCU Scheme

Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme project proponents (and their nominees) can use the Notify the Regulator form to supply notifications relating to your project. This includes when:

  • an event occurs that may be relevant to your fit and proper person status
  • a previously declared project proponent no longer has the legal right to run the project
  • the project is affected by a significant natural disturbance
  • the project proponent becomes aware that a previously submitted offsets report contains an error which affects net abatement calculations
  • the method for a project requires that a notification is made.

This form can also be used to request that details relating to your project are updated or changed, such as the:

  • name of a project
  • project primary contact
  • agent associated with a project.

ANREU

Australian National Registry of Emissions Units (ANREU) account users can use the Notify the Regulator form to notify us of any changes to:

  • the fit and proper person status of the account holder or existing authorised representatives
  • the legal name of the account holder or existing authorised representatives
  • the name of any additional ANREU accounts.

The form can also be used if account users:

  • need to voluntarily close an ANREU account
  • have received units in error
  • have transferred units to wrong account due to human error
  • need to update the email address of an existing authorised representative.

Renewable Energy Target

Registered person REC Registry account holders can use the Notify the Regulator form to notify the CER of changes to the fit and proper person status.

Account holders must maintain fit and proper person status to participate in the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) or Large-scale Renewable Energy Target (LRET).
