We have opened a 6-week consultation on the needs and priorities for establishing new market infrastructure to allow participants better access to carbon markets.
We encourage you to have your say by visiting the carbon market infrastructure for holding and trading certificates and units consultation.
By responding to our survey or providing a submission, you will help us decide how best to support the expansion and growth of carbon markets in Australia. With a modernised Unit and Certificate Registry already underway, we are seeking stakeholder feedback on a proposed carbon exchange trading model to facilitate improved investor access and trading in carbon and environmental markets.

We would like to hear from:
- participants in our schemes, including entities creating, holding and trading carbon credit units and certificates
- safeguard facilities
- carbon market participants
- consultants
- brokers and intermediaries.
