The Clean Energy Regulator has released the August 2020 Large-scale Renewable Energy Target market data.

Highlights include:

  • Two solar power stations with a combined capacity of 3.1 megawatts (MW) were accredited.
  • Two utility-scale power stations with a combined capacity of 303 MW were approved, with accreditation dates in June and July:
    • Goonumbla Solar Farm in NSW – 89 MW, and
    • Yandin Wind Farm in WA – 214 MW.
  • Two utility-scale renewable energy projects reached financial close, with a combined capacity 371 MW:
    • Columboola Solar Farm in QLD – 162 MW, and
    • Murra Warra Wind Farm Stage 2 in VIC – 209 MW.
  • Two utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a combined capacity of 639 MW, entered into power purchase agreements:
    • Suntop Solar Farm in NSW – 189 MW, and
    • Clarke Creed Wind Farm Stage 1 in QLD – 450 MW.
