The Renewable Energy Target 2015 Administrative Report covers the operations of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 for the 2015 calendar year.
The report has been prepared in accordance with Section 105 of the Act and was tabled in Parliament on 03 May 2016.
The Renewable Energy Target 2015 Administrative Report provides information about the Clean Energy Regulator’s administration of the Act and how the Renewable Energy Target is performing against its legislated objectives, which are:
- to encourage additional generation of electricity from renewable sources
- to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in the electricity sector, and
- to ensure generation of electricity from ecologically sustainable renewable energy sources.
It also includes the Renewable Energy Target 2015 Annual statement and supporting information about progress towards meeting the revised 2020 Large-scale Renewable Energy Target.
