The Renewable Energy Target 2013 Administrative Report covers the operations of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 for the 2013 calendar year.
The report has been prepared in accordance with Section 105 of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 and was tabled in Parliament on 30 April 2014.
The Renewable Energy Target 2013 Administrative Report provides information about the Clean Energy Regulator’s administration of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 and how the Renewable Energy Target is performing against its legislated objectives, which are:
- to encourage additional generation of electricity from renewable sources
- to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in the electricity sector, and
- to ensure generation of electricity from ecologically sustainable renewable energy sources.
