This Report is only valid when it has been completed in EERS and is electronically submitted to the Clean Energy Regulator. The Clean Energy Regulator must receive the report by the statutory deadline. The Acts Interpretation Act 1901 makes provision for the discharge of a duty when the due date falls on a weekend or public holiday. In these circumstances, the report may be submitted on the next day that is not a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.
Note that for the 2023–24 reporting period, the statutory deadline is midnight, Thursday 31 October 2024 (AEDT).
The Executive Officer (or equivalent) of a reporting entity has the permission level of ‘Submitter’ within EERS. This allows them to electronically submit the data. Alternatively, an Executive Officer can authorise another person (the Nominated Report Submitter), to submit a report in EERS on the Executive Officer’s behalf. The Executive Officer declaration must be accepted prior to submission of a section 19 report.
