To better protect the personal information of our participants, the CER have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Home Affairs to allow us to the access the services of IDCARE under their contract with the Commonwealth.
CARE is a not-for-profit charity that provides an identity and cyber support service for individuals and organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
In the unfortunate and unlikely event your identity documents are stolen or hacked while using CER systems, the MOU allows us to refer you to IDCARE for specialist victim support services. While IDCARE can provide specialist case management support services, for reissue of any compromised identity credentials you will still need to contact the relevant authority in your state, for example for a replacement driver licence.
The CER will be putting further information on our website to assist participants who have concerns that they have become victims of a cyber-crime while using our systems. In the meantime, please contact CER-Referrals@cer.gov.au or enquiries@cer.gov.au.
