Civil penalties for Solar PV installation company and Directors
On 13 September 2023, His Honour Justice Derrington of the Federal Court ordered civil penalties totalling $240,000 against E Connect Solar & Electrical Pty Ltd (in liquidation) and 2 individuals - a current and former director.
Former solar PV installer convicted
An investigation conducted by the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) has resulted in the conviction of Mr Aaron Ware, Director of Pedley’s Electrical Services Pty Ltd. Between October 2018 and January 2020, Mr Ware received a financial benefit by falsely claiming to have installed or supervised 13 solar photovoltaic (PV) systems when in fact, he was overseas.

Clean Energy Regulator satisfied that Trina Solar panels meet Australian standards for safety and quality
On 7 May 2020, the Clean Energy Regulator (the CER) accepted an Enforceable Undertaking (EU) offered by Trina Solar (Australia) Pty Ltd (Trina Solar).
