If you have surplus Australian carbon credit units (ACCUs) after meeting your contractual obligations for the 2020/21 financial year, you can choose to deliver them early. Submit an early delivery application to deliver your surplus ACCUs and boost your cashflow this financial year.
Under a Fixed Delivery contract if you have completed your 2020/21 contract deliveries, you do not need to wait until your next delivery milestone to receive payment. Follow the instructions below and apply by 11 June 2021 to ensure that your application can be assessed and approved this financial year.
Note, any ACCUs that are due by 30 June 2021 must be delivered before being eligible to apply for future financial years.
How to apply to deliver your surplus ACCUs
Email the Clean Energy Regulator at ERF-Contracts@cleanenergyregulator.gov.au with the following details:
- your original contracted scheduled delivery date and quantity
- the quantity of ACCUs that you can deliver early
- the date that you can deliver the ACCUs to the Clean Energy Regulator’s Australian national registry of emissions units (ANREU) account.
We will review your application and reply within 5 business days.
If we approve your application, you will need to log in to your ANREU account to transfer the approved ACCUs.
