National Greenhouse and Energy Register 2019-20

The National Greenhouse and Energy Register records all persons that have registered under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (NGER Act).

By 28 February each year the Clean Energy Regulator must publish the name of each person that was registered under the NGER Act during the previous reporting year.

The tables below are an extract of the National Greenhouse and Energy Register listing all registered persons (controlling corporations, Reporting Transfer Certificate holders and responsible emitters) that were registered under the NGER Act for the 2019–20 reporting year.

Controlling corporations registered under the NGER Act (including Reporting Transfer Certificate holders) for the 2019–20 reporting year

Number of registered controlling corporations: 832.
The following controlling corporations (including Reporting Transfer Certificate holders) were registered under the NGER Act for the 2019–20 reporting year.

This extract of the National Greenhouse and Energy Register includes controlling corporations that did not meet a threshold under section 13 of the NGER Act for the 2019–20 reporting year.

Reporting Transfer Certificate holders for the 2019–20 reporting year

The following corporations held a Reporting Transfer Certificate for the 2019–20 reporting year. Note that some Reporting Transfer Certificate Holders are also controlling corporations and are listed on the table above.

Controlling corporations that were deregistered and not required to report under the NGER Act for the 2019–20 reporting year

The following table lists those corporations that were registered under the NGER Act during the 2019–20 reporting year but were deregistered without being required to submit a report for that year. This includes corporations that applied for deregistration on the basis that they were unlikely to meet thresholds, were registered controlling corporations that established that they no longer met the definition of a controlling corporation, were invalidly registered or ceased to exist.

Responsible emitters registered under the NGER Act for the 2019–20 reporting year

The following table lists responsible emitters that were required to register under the NGER Act for the 2019–20 reporting period for the purposes of the safeguard mechanism.

Not all responsible emitters will appear on this table, as controlling corporations that are also responsible emitters are registered under section 12 of the NGER Act and will appear on the list of controlling corporations.
