National Greenhouse and Energy Register 2016-17

The National Greenhouse and Energy Register records all persons that have registered under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (NGER Act)​.

The tables below are an extract of the National Greenhouse and Energy Register listing all registered persons (controlling corporations and Reporting Transfer Certificate holders) that were registered under the NGER Act for the 2016–17 reporting year.

This extract of the National Greenhouse and Energy Register includes controlling corporations that did not meet a threshold under section 13 of the NGER Act for the 2016–17 reporting year.

The following corporations held a Reporting Transfer Certificate for the 2016–17 reporting year. Note that some Reporting Transfer Certificate Holders are also controlling corporations and are listed on the table above.

Extract of the National Greenhouse and Energy Register: Controlling corporations that were deregistered and not required to report under the NGER Act for the 2016–17 reporting year

The following table lists those corporations that were registered under the NGER Act during the 2016–17 reporting year, but were deregistered without being required to submit a report for that year. This includes corporations that applied for deregistration on the basis that they were unlikely to meet thresholds, were registered controlling corporations that established that they no longer met the definition of a controlling corporation, were invalidly registered or ceased to exist.

Extract of National Greenhouse and Energy Register: Responsible Emitters registered under the NGER Act for the 2016–17 reporting year

The following table lists responsible emitters that were required to register under the NGER Act for the 2016-17 reporting period for the purposes of the safeguard mechanism.

This is the first reporting year that responsible emitters were required to apply to register under the NGER Act if they were not already registered.  Not all responsible emitters will appear on this table.  This is because registered controlling corporations that are also responsible emitters, are already registered under the NGER Act and will appear in the list of registered controlling corporations.
