Emissions in the electricity generation sector have decreased over the last four years. There were notable reductions of 4.8 million tonnes of CO2-e (2.9%) in 2018–19 and 7.5 million tonnes of CO2-e (4.6%) in 2019–20 on the previous reporting year.
