- A total of 16 MW was approved as eligible for LGCs in June. This included a utility scale power station Batchelor Pell Solar Farm in the Northern Territory with a capactiy of 13 MW.
New snapshot of corporate emissions reduction progress
For the first time, a snapshot has been published of the progress being made by some of the biggest companies in Australia towards their climate ambitions.
The Corporate Emissions Reduction Transparency (CERT) report is a new way for eligible companies to present their climate-related commitments, progress and net emissions position all in one place.

The Clean Energy Regulator has released the May 2022 Large-scale Renewable Energy Target market data.
Highlights include:
- A total of 36 MW was approved as eligible for LGCs in May. This included a utility scale power station Gruyere Power Station Solar Farm in Western Australia with a capactiy of 14 MW.

Participation in the voluntary carbon market was off to a strong start in the first quarter of 2022, with the Clean Energy Regulator’s Quarterly Carbon Market Report (QCMR) revealing record levels of cancellations of carbon units and certificates.

A total of 354 MW was approved as eligible for LGCs in April. The power stations making up the majority of this new capacity were:
19 companies sign up to Guarantee of Origin trials
Phase 1 of the Guarantee of Origin (GO) trials are currently underway to test hydrogen production emissions accounting methodologies.
GO currently has 19 trial participants signed up to help shape the scheme, with the Clean Energy Regulator continuing to work with The Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources on co-design.
