The bidding window for the 12th Emissions Reduction Fund auction has officially opened! The auction will run over two days with the hammer falling at 5:00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday 13 April 2021 (EST).
Strong interest in the Emissions Reduction Fund continues with 117 new projects registered since auction 11. Auction 11 was held in September 2020 and resulted in 33 projects being awarded contracts valued at over $110 million.
Auction registration for the 12th Emissions Reduction Fund auction closes tonight
Get your registration application for the
12th Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) auction in by
midnight tonight, 31 March (EDT) or you will not be able to participate in the auction on 12–13 April.
Late registrations will not be accepted.

Quarterly Carbon Market Report – December Quarter 2020
Highlights
- Emissions reduction from schemes administered by the Clean Energy Regulator reached 53 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂-e) in 2020 and is expected to increase to 57 million tonnes in 2021.
- A record 7 gigawatts (GW) of new renewable energy capacity was delivered across Australia in 2020, up 11% from the 6.3 GW in 2019. Of this, 4 GW was large-scale (2.3 GW wind and 1.7 GW solar) and 3 GW was rooftop solar PV.
January Large-scale Renewable Energy Target market data now available
The Clean Energy Regulator has released the January 2021 Large-scale Renewable Energy Target market data.
Highlights include:
- 10 mid-scale solar power stations with a combined capacity of 3.63 MW were accredited in January.
