The bidding window for the 12th Emissions Reduction Fund auction has officially opened! The auction will run over two days with the hammer falling at 5:00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday 13 April 2021 (EST).

Strong interest in the Emissions Reduction Fund continues with 117 new projects registered since auction 11. Auction 11 was held in September 2020 and resulted in 33 projects being awarded contracts valued at over $110 million.

Due to the competitive nature of the auction, you are reminded to bid competitively in order to maximise your chance of securing a contract.

All bids will be assessed in accordance with the carbon abatement purchasing principles, including the ability to contribute to least-cost abatement.

Important information for auction bidders

To be eligible for the auction, applicants placing bids from the same project for both an optional delivery contract and a fixed delivery contract must ensure that the price bid for the optional delivery contract is less than the price bid for the fixed delivery contract.

All bids must be lodged through AusTender using the ID and passcode provided to registered participants. It is important to note that all auction participants have confidentiality obligations relating to their bid and bidding strategies. These are outlined in the auction guidelines.
