Clean Energy Regulator accepts enforceable undertaking from Fitzroy
We have taken compliance action against Fitzroy (CQ) Pty Ltd due to an excess emissions situation under the Safeguard Mechanism.
Our 2024–25 compliance and enforcement priorities highlighted that we are focusing compliance activities on safeguard facilities who fail to take action to manage their excess emissions.
Public consultation on 2025 updates to the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is undertaking a public consultation on proposed updates to the NGER Scheme. The consultation period is now open and will close Friday 11 April 2025.
