As per regulation 4.30 of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Regulations 2008, the reporting of contractor data by an entity is required if one or more of the following thresholds are met in a reporting year:
- the contractor's greenhouse gas emissions have a carbon dioxide equivalence of 25 kilotonnes or more; or
- the contractor's production of energy is 100 terajoules or more; or
- the contractor's consumption of energy is 100 terajoules or more.
1. Add/edit contractor details
To support the reporting requirements under section 19, 22G or 22X of the Act, the following information is required:
- the name of each contractor
- each contractor’s identifying details
- the total greenhouse gas emissions produced by each contractor’s activity or activities
- the total energy produced by each contractor’s activity or activities
- the total energy consumed by each contractor’s activity or activities.
Identifying details
Identifying details, for a contractor means:
- the entity’s ABN
- if the entity does not have an ABN – its ACN
- if the entity does not have an ABN or ACN – its ARBN, or
- if the entity does not have an ABN, ACN or ARBN its trading name and street address.
