Reporting of summary contractor emissions and energy data in the 'Contractor' screen is an additional reporting requirement to reporting on detailed contractor activities, emissions, energy consumption and production in the 'Facility Activity' details section of EERS.

As per regulation 4.30 of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Regulations 2008 the reporting of contractor data by an entity is required if one or more of the following thresholds are met in a reporting year:

  • the contractor's greenhouse gas emissions have a carbon dioxide equivalence of 25 kilotonnes or more, or
  • the contractor's production of energy is 100 terajoules or more, or
  • the contractor's consumption of energy is 100 terajoules or more.

1. Contractor emissions and energy summary table

A summary of all entered emissions and energy data for activities carried out by one or more contractors is displayed within this table.

2. Contractor details

Click on the ‘Add Contractor’ button to open the 'Contactor Emissions and Energy Details' screen. Once a contractor item is created, its key details will appear as a row in the 'Contractor Details' table. Multiple contractor items can be created this way, thus populating the table. Further information on contractors and their reporting requirements is located in the 'Help' section of the ‘Contactor Emissions and Energy Details’ screen.

Once the table is populated with a contractor item or items, click on the 'edit' icon within the ‘Action’ column to return to the ‘Contactor Emissions and Energy Details’ screen for that contractor item and update its details. Alternatively, click on the 'delete' icon to remove it.
