Safeguard Mechanism – Apply for a multi-year monitoring period by 15 November

Under the reformed Safeguard Mechanism, facilities with excess emissions in the 2022-23 reporting year may be eligible for a multi-year monitoring period (MYMP) of up to five years.

The new MYMP application form is now available in Online Services. Facilities seeking a MYMP to manage their excess emissions in the 2022-23 reporting year must complete this form by 15 November 2023.

Applications for MYMPs must include supporting information. This includes a summary of the Safeguard facility’s plans to reduce its net emissions for publication on our website. See Managing excess emissions for financial years ending before 1 July 2023 for more information.
