The Clean Energy Regulator is introducing a new way for you to login into our systems. From Monday 27 June 2022, you'll need to login using a 2-step process known as multi-factor authentication (MFA). You may have set up MFA for other platforms such as Facebook, Google and on your personal Microsoft or Apple device.
Each time you login to our systems you'll need:
- your username and password
- a unique code we generate and send to you by text, call or email.
Checking and updating your contact details
To access your account, you need to make sure the email address and/or mobile number saved in your CER account is valid.
You can check this by going to Client Portal and selecting 'My Profile'. Please ensure you check your details are correct before 27 June 2022.
Logging in for the first time after 27 June 2022
To login, you'll need to:
- go to the login page
- follow the prompts to receive a code by email or text
- you will have the opportunity to enter a new mobile number to receive the code. This mobile number will be saved to your account when you login in the future.
- enter the unique code
- select 'verify code'.
For further assistance, please:
- watch our visual step-by-step login video
