The bidding window for the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) Auction 14 will officially open at 12:01 am (AEST) on Tuesday 5 April 2022.
The auction will run over 2 days with bids accepted until 5 pm (AEST) Wednesday 6 April 2022.
Auctions are competitive in nature – all bids will be assessed in accordance with the carbon abatement purchasing principles, including the ability to contribute to least-cost abatement.
You should ensure you bid competitively to maximise your chance of securing a contract.
Bids received after 5 pm (AEST) Wednesday 6 April will not be accepted.
Record monthly ERF project registrations
A record 90 ERF projects were registered in the month of March 2022. This result surpassed the previous record of 87 set in July 2015. Not all registered projects will seek to participate at the auction.

All bids must be lodged through AusTender using the ID and passcode provided to registered participants. It is important to note that all auction participants have confidentiality obligations relating to their bid and bidding strategies. These are outlined in the Auction Guidelines.
