The Clean Energy Regulator is changing the way you log in to the REC Registry. From Monday 14 September 2020 you will access your REC Registry accounts through the Client Portal. Instead of the username you have previously used to log in to the REC Registry, you will now use your email address as your username and you will log in through the Client Portal.

What will this mean for REC Registry users?

You will no longer be able to share the same email address or username with other people. This is applicable to any organisation that has more than one user or account.

This means, unless you have a unique email address you will not be able to log into the REC Registry until your individual details are updated.

We have guidance and information on how to login for the first time after single sign-on is introduced to the REC Registry.

How to login to the REC Registry for the first time after 14 September 2020

What do I need to do?

Follow these steps:

  2. On the left menu, select ‘My Account’.
  3. Depending on your permissions either:
    1. From the drop-down menu, select ‘My details’.
      OR
    2. From the drop-down menu, select ‘Manage users’. Click on the username you want to change the email address of.
  4. Click on ‘Update details’ at the top of the page.
  5. Under ‘User contact details’, change the email address.
