The Minister for Energy and Emissions Reductions, the Hon Angus Taylor MP, has announced funding of $40.4 million over 10 years for the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) to reduce the regulatory burdens on businesses who are part of the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) by:
- establishing a new exchange platform for emissions reduction units;
- building new IT systems to reduce timeframes for ERF project registration and ACCU; and
- slashing the time taken to develop new methods, so business can execute and reap returns from abatement projects more quickly.
We will keep stakeholders and scheme participants informed of any updates to these announcements.
