The Clean Energy Regulator has entered into an arrangement with CPA Australia to help non-financial auditors into the CPA Program for the purposes of gaining Category 2 Greenhouse and Energy Auditor registration.

Under this arrangement, those interested in seeking Category 2 registration can apply for enrolment into the Advanced Audit and Assurance subject, which is part of the CPA Program. Applicants can enrol:

  • in the subject only, without having to undertake any other parts of the CPA Program, and
  • without having to obtain membership of CPA Australia.

How to enrol

You will need to email us at audit@cleanenergyregulator.gov.au requesting an enrolment form if you want to enrol in CPA Australia’s Advanced Audit and Assurance subject. Enrolment is available if you have the intention of applying for Category 2 registration.

You will be required to provide 100 points of certified identification when you apply to sit the subject exam, so it is important that your enrolment form accurately reflects your identification details.

We will send your completed form to CPA Australia, with our endorsement for your application to enrol.

CPA Australia will process your application and advise you of the outcome. They will also liaise directly with you to organise payment and enrolment.

If you want to enrol for Semester one 2021 you need to request and submit the form to the Clean Energy Regulator one week prior to CPA Austalia’s enrolment date. Dates are as follows:

  • Full price enrolment
