The tenth Emissions Reduction Fund auction, held from 25–26 March 2020 contracted more than 1.7 million tonnes of abatement, with 12 carbon abatement contracts awarded.
The Clean Energy Regulator purchased carbon abatement at an average price of $16.14 per tonne, with a contracted value of $27.6 million.
In total, the Emissions Reduction Fund has now purchased 193 million tonnes of abatement through 463 contracts, with a total financial commitment of $2.3 billion.
